Dr. Weinstein, a member of the AVMA’s Veterinary Economics Strategy Committee, will discuss the benefits of owning your own business and provide practical advice to veterinarians considering opening a practice, during a free, live webinar with the AVMA Veterinary Career Center on Sept. 26.

Join Dr. Weinstein and the Veterinary Career Center for this one-hour webinar at Noon Central Time on Sept. 26 to explore the benefits of veterinary practice ownership. You can expect to learn:

  • Why practice ownership makes sense financially, even with student debt
  • How and where to acquire the essential business skills to open a practice
  • The team of professionals you’ll need to start a practice
  • How to hire and delegate practice operations to a practice manager

Dr. Weinstein has been providing business consulting services to veterinary practices nationwide for more than 20 years, and speaks and writes extensively on practice management, team building, leadership, collegiality, marketing, and other topics focused on improving veterinary practices. Most recently, he co-authored with Michael E. Gerber “The E-Myth Veterinarian- Why Most Veterinary Practices Don’t Work and What to Do About It.” He is the owner of PAW Consulting, and currently serves as president of Simple Solutions for Vets and executive director of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association (SCVMA).
