Member Appreciation Week 2023 is in the books and, as always, it was a fun-filled event for all. The week was an opportunity to shine a light on the 100,000+ AVMA members whose support and work power all of the AVMA’s accomplishments. It was also a chance to spread joy, show gratitude, and foster camaraderie throughout the AVMA community. Here’s a look at how we celebrated:

Surprise gift baskets

We started the week by surprising 10 lucky members with gift baskets filled with treats to share with co-workers. What better way to strengthen relationships in the workplace than over a basket of gourmet goodies?

An overwhelming 990 people answered our "How well do you know your Association?" quiz, which challenged members to test their knowledge about the AVMA, and 887 got all the answers right. Congratulations to Dr. Lauren Barry, owner of Baker Ranch Animal Hospital in Lake Forest, California—whose name was drawn randomly as the lucky grand prize winner of a Lululemon Studio smart mirror!

In addition to the grand prize, 100 other winners will be celebrating in style with limited-edition swag bags filled with AVMA goodies. All winners were chosen randomly and have been notified of their prizes.

Extending gratitude to the people who make it all possible

AVMA members are the heart and soul of the Association. No matter what your level of day-to-day involvement—from using member resources to volunteering on a committee—you are an essential part of this community. Without your passion and commitment, none of the AVMA’s work would even be possible.

So—whether it’s Member Appreciation Week, or any other week, thank you for being an AVMA member.
