ABIQ400Looking for a new way to connect with current and potential clients? The CDC’s Get Smart About Antibiotics Week is Nov. 16-22, and we have tools you can use to incorporate this observation into your social media and your conversations with clients.

Get Smart About Antibiotics Week is dedicated to raising awareness of the threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of using antibiotics appropriately. Veterinarians play a big role in making sure antibiotics are properly used, both through prescribing them judiciously and through educating clients about the importance of proper use and disposal. But our clients don’t always realize this, and sometimes they might not understand why their pet’s condition doesn’t call for an antibiotic prescription. So we’ve developed an educational quiz you can share with friends and followers through your social media or website, to help educate your clients about antibiotics.

Whether or not you’re a clinical practitioner, we think you’ll enjoy taking this quick quiz to test your knowledge of antibiotics use. It’s fun and educational, for both veterinary staff and clients. So after you’ve finished answering the questions, share it with friends and followers on social media – it’s a great way to help them learn how both animal owners and veterinarians play a role in responsible antibiotic use and preventing antibiotic resistance.

The CDC offers additional resources for Get Smart About Antibiotics Week, including graphics, educational materials and facts about antibiotics.
