Start your leadership journey with savings

If you’re an early-career veterinarian interested in attending the premier veterinary leadership conference, there are scholarships to help you get there! The AVMA is offering $1,000 scholarships for 10 AVMA members to hone their skills at the 2024 Veterinary Leadership Conference (VLC) in Chicago this January. 

To qualify for these scholarships, you must have graduated within the last five years (graduating class of 2019 or more recent), and you’re highly encouraged to apply if you fall into at least one of these categories:

• Rising leaders—Veterinarians with a desire to lead who have little or no prior leadership experience
• Under-represented in veterinary leadership—Veterinarians from a demographic, geographic, or socioeconomic group or practice type that is under-represented in U.S. veterinary leadership

Scholarships are awarded in the form of a $1,000 stipend to help with the cost of registration, travel, and meals while attending the VLC. Applications for these early-career scholarships must be received by October 31, 2023.
