Donations needed for new AVMF grant program

This week, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) announced a new grant program to provide relief for veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants impacted by COVID-19. The program was funded with a generous $200,000 donation from Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Zoetis, and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA), and the AVMF set a goal to raise an additional $200,000 from individual donors.

After the announcement, the AVMF quickly received enough applications to exhaust the initial program donation. In just 10 hours, the first-come, first-served grant program received more than four times the number of applications able to be met with existing funds. To help meet the needs of more veterinary technicians and assistants, the AVMF is seeking donations to meet its challenge goal for the program. If you are able to offer your support, please give at avmf.org/Donate, selecting “COVID-19 Disaster Relief Support” from the relevant dropdown in the form.

Your generosity can help us provide even more relief for these hardworking veterinary professionals.
