Each summer, AVMA’s annual convention brings together thousands of veterinary professionals, educators, and thought leaders from across the globe. Now is your chance to share your passion with them by submitting an abstract for AVMA Convention 2026.

Whether you’ve conducted groundbreaking research, developed helpful clinical techniques, discovered practical strategies that improve daily practice, or gained valuable insights into leadership and wellbeing—your knowledge can inform and inspire your colleagues. By becoming a speaker, you’ll not only help shape the future of veterinary medicine but also gain fresh ideas, new connections, and greater professional recognition. Plus, for first-time speakers, the excitement of wearing that “speaker” ribbon on your badge can stay with you for a lifetime.

What we’re looking for

AVMA’s Convention Education Program Committee is inviting abstract submissions across all areas of veterinary medicine. These are just a few ideas:

  • Companion animal, equine, food animal, and exotic/zoo medicine
  • Population medicine, epidemiology, and One Health
  • Practice management, leadership, and team wellbeing
  • Professional development
  • Advances in research and technology

From continuing education (CE) sessions to dry labs and workshops, there’s more than one way to get your message across. Just take your pick.

Abstract submissions close Friday, October 3, 2025. AVMA Convention 2026 takes place July 10-14, 2026, in Anaheim, California.

Be part of the great CE programming that brings the veterinary community together at AVMA Convention!
