Powered by you: AVMA community raises $67,000 for Foundation
Gifts will support charitable care, disaster relief, scholarships, research
Thank you to the many participants who contributed to the American Veterinary Medical Foundation’s (AVMF) District Donor Challenge. The campaign, which ran from April through June, raised funds for the Foundation’s four crucial pillars—charitable care (the REACH program), disaster relief, scholarships and education, and research.
Results of the campaign were announced earlier this summer at AVMA Convention 2024. In total, $67,000 was raised: Approximately $17,000 came from the AVMA House of Delegates and individual AVMA members, and $50,000 was given as a matching donation by the Auxiliary to the AVMA.
Here are the district rankings:
- First place: District 6 (Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin)
- Second place: District 5 (Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia)
- Third place: District 11 (Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming)
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the campaign. Your support highlights the AVMA community’s commitment to advancing veterinary medicine and supporting those in need.
