Thank you to the 105,000+ members who made AVMA’s Member Appreciation Week 2024 a huge success. The week was our chance to shine a light on YOU—the people who have dedicated their lives to the veterinary profession and whose support makes all of AVMA’s work possible. Here’s a look at how we celebrated:

A sweepstakes, pop-up store, and member accomplishments

We started the week by surprising 12 lucky members with gift baskets filled with scrumptious treats to share with co-workers. What better way to bring a team together than over a basket of gourmet goodies?

More than 1,500 people answered our "How well do you know your Association?" quiz, which challenged members to test their knowledge about the AVMA for an opportunity to win awesome prizes. Congratulations to Dr. Jennifer Khalifah, the lucky grand prize winner of an Ooni Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven (plus accessories)! Dr. Khalifah—a small animal practitioner at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital in Harper Woods, Michigan—has been an AVMA member since 1997. Thank you for all that you do!

In addition to the grand prize, 100 other winners will be receiving limited-edition swag bags filled with AVMA goodies. All winners were chosen randomly and have been notified of their prizes.

We also launched our first-ever online pop-up store, with limited-edition AVMA-branded apparel and accessories, like hats, backpacks, and jackets. The store was only open for three weeks, but don’t worry if you missed your chance to order—we’ll be opening it back up for future celebrations, so you’ll have more opportunities to show your member pride with exclusive AVMA gear.

Throughout the week, we shared some of the many accomplishments that AVMA members have made possible this year. For a feel-good moment, check them all at

Thank you to the people who make it all possible

AVMA members are the heart and soul of the Association. Without your passion and commitment, none of the AVMA’s work would even be possible. Whether you work with livestock or companion animals, in a lab, a classroom, or an office, YOU are an essential part of this community.Thank you for being an AVMA member.
