Today marks our entry into the world of electronic balloting, as we strive to ease, expedite and enhance the AVMA’s Board of Directors voting process. Voting for the contested District 1 Board of Directors seat opened today and the occasion marks the first time the AVMA has used electronic balloting for its Board elections.

Your Voice. Your Vote. Each AVMA member in District 1 who has provided us a valid email address will receive a personalized email containing instructions to access their unique electronic voting ballot. Members who do not have a valid email address will receive a paper ballot that they will use to record their vote. Both the email and paper ballots will be tabulated and certified by an independent third party. (If you’re not sure if we have a valid email address for you, this is a great time to visit our Member Center to check your profile and update your information.)

The District 1 Board of Director candidates are Drs. Karen Bradley and Arnold Goldman. Voting closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 31. We’ll be sure to provide the election results on our website as soon as they are available.
