Veterinary Career Webinars Explore Your OptionsVeterinarians are hired in almost every business that makes, provides or sells products or services to pet owners or to veterinarians. These companies offer a wide variety of career opportunities, but many veterinarians either know little about these options or don’t know how to pursue them.

The AVMA Veterinary Career Center explored these veterinary career possibilities recently in a webinar called “Need a change? Think corporate veterinary medicine!” - a recording of which is now available for on-demand viewing.

Among the topics covered in the webinar:

  • What types of jobs are available in industry?
  • What qualifications are needed for veterinarians seeking those jobs?
  • How can veterinarians transition from veterinary practice into the corporate world?

This on-demand webinar offers a wealth of information to any veterinarian who might be considering a possible career change. For example, it identifies a wide variety of job categories open to veterinarians in industry, including jobs in professional services, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, business development, research and development (R&D), and others.

From considering whether to seek an industry position, to finding the right job and actually making a successful transition, the webinar covers all the basics to help you succeed and thrive in a corporate veterinary career.

We encourage you to view it below. Be sure also to check out the other on-demand career webinars offered by the AVMA Veterinary Career Center, as well as the AVMA's resources for veterinarians interested in making a career transition.
