A conference like no other: Introducing the DEIW Summit
Are you interested in creating a veterinary profession that’s supportive and equitable for all groups and individuals? Are you passionate about improving veterinary wellbeing?
If you answered yes, then there’s a conference taking place this November that you don’t want to miss.
Registration is open for the veterinary profession’s first-ever Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Wellbeing (DEIW) Summit. Presented by the AVMA in partnership with the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC), the DEIW Summit will bring together 350 colleagues for an immersive experience of shared learning and growth that promises to engage, educate, and inspire.
More than just a conference, the summit will gather a community united by the shared goal of fostering environments where creativity, wellbeing, and collaboration flourish.
Taking place at Atlanta’s intimate Starling Hotel, this CE meeting is designed with a focus on small, impactful group sessions. It promises not just participation but a deep, personal involvement in the learning process.

The summit will offer a dynamic and interactive CE program, including three visionary keynote speakers:
- Bertice Berry, PhD, author and sociologist
- Chef Brave Heart, entrepreneur and private chef
- Adam “Smiley” Poswolsky, author and workplace expert
The robust schedule qualifies for 7.5 hours of continuing education (CE) credit. In addition, attendees will be able to take part in a Vet for a Day experience with local high school students, tour the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and much more. View the full schedule.

Though capacity is limited, everyone is welcome. Attendees will come away with greater understanding of how DEI and wellbeing intersect—and actionable ways to empower and support both veterinary professionals and the workplaces where we operate.
Don’t miss the opportunity to join your veterinary community for this unprecedented conference.
