Protect. Promote. Advance.

AVMA's work to help members and the veterinary profession confront the COVID-19 pandemic has been rewarded with one of the association industry's highest awards.

The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) has chosen AVMA to receive a 2020 Power of A (association) Silver Award in recognition of the AVMA’s COVID-19 resource center (avma.org/Coronavirus) and AVMA's commitment to promoting, protecting, and advancing the veterinary profession.

“One of the AVMA’s top priorities is to ensure the veterinary community has the tools necessary to face the new challenges COVID-19 presents,” said AVMA's executive vice president and CEO, Dr. Janet Donlin. “We created the COVID-19 resource center to reflect that commitment and provide guidance as our society continues to adapt. This recognition is a testament to the passion, appreciation, and dedication the AVMA has for the profession we represent."

“Among the very best organizations”

The Power of A Awards recognize the outstanding accomplishments of associations and association professionals who work tirelessly to solve problems, strengthen lives, empower the workforce, improve the economy, and enhance the world.

In announcing the award, ASAE President and CEO Susan Robertson congratulated the AVMA for being "among the very best organizations that go above and beyond their tax-exempt purpose to improve society and our quality of life in America and abroad."
