ABVS - Complaints Against a Diplomate of a College/Board

If the ABVS receives a complaint against a diplomate of a recognized veterinary specialty organization (RVSO), the complaint will be referred to the executive director or secretary of the appropriate RVSO, and the person making the complaint will be notified of that referral. The complaint will be considered by the governing body of the RVSO. The RVSO will respond directly to the person issuing the complaint, with a copy of the response sent to the AVMA for ABVS records. A tally of complaints will be a part of the annual report of the RVSO.
