New council members elected

Summer 2010

The AVMA House of Delegates, at the July 2010 annual meeting, elected Dr. John Pascoe representing postgraduate education and Dr. Ronald Gill representing private mixed clinical practice.

Dr. Pascoe is an executive associate dean at the University of California-Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from the University of Queensland, a PhD in comparative pathology from the University of California-Davis and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is the chair of the Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence, Board American Association of State Boards.

Dr. Gill practices veterinary medicine in West Salem, Illinois. He earned a DVM degree from the University of Illinois. He is a former president of the Illinois State Veterinary Medical Association and has served on the AVMA Council on Veterinary Services and the AVMA Strategic Planning Committee.
