This news round-up features recent developments and current events from schools accredited by the COE.
Dr. Lisa Nolan was named the new dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine on effective January 1, 2011. She has been a member of the ISU faculty since 2003 as a professor and chair of veterinary microbiology and preventive medicine. She also served as associate dean of academic and student affairs from 2007-2009. She is a member of the AVMA, the American Association of Avian Pathologists, the American Society for Microbiology, and the International Society of Plasmid Biology.
Dr. John Thomson, who served as the dean for 20 years will take a year sabbatical and return to ISU as a faculty in clinical epidemiology.
Dr. Maria Elena Trujillo was named the new dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine effective February 21, 2012. She formerly served as the General Associate Dean and is the first woman to serve as dean in the college's 158 year history.
