What does "fully accredited" mean?

Q:  What does "fully accredited" mean?

A:  Veterinary colleges that meet all Standards of Accreditation are granted full accreditation by the AVMA Council on Education (COE) for a period of no more than seven years, contingent upon satisfactory review by the COE of annual progress reports. It is possible that one or two of the 11 standards may not be fully met, but if the COE is convinced that student outcomes are only minimally affected and that student safety is not compromised, a college may still receive a classification of full accreditation, as long as the deficiencies are corrected within two years.
