The Cuming County Livestock Feeders Association is providing $25,000 to support the construction of a new Veterinary Diagnostic Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The University plans to replace the current center, built in 1975, which no longer meets modern laboratory standards. The Nebraska legislature has committed to provide $41.5 million in funding through the Building a Healthier Nebraska initiative once 41.5 million dollars is first raised from private sources. To date more than three million dollars has been raised. The university hopes to launch the project in late 2014.
