Dr. Ron DeHaven, CEO and executive vice president of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), will participate in the White House’s One Health Antimicrobial Stewardship Summit on Tuesday, June 2.
The summit is being held to support the implementation of the White House’s National Action Plan for Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria.
Dr. DeHaven’s involvement in this event reflects the AVMA’s commitment to enhanced veterinary oversight and judicious therapeutic use of antimicrobials to help protect human and animal health and the safety of the nation’s food supply.
