What is the JAVMA Mobile App?
The JAVMA Mobile App is the latest digital version of JAVMA. It contains the same great content you’ve come to expect from the print journal, but formatted for easy reading on your Apple or Android tablet or smartphone.

How do I access the JAVMA Mobile App?
The app is available as a free download from the Apple and Google Play app stores. Once downloaded, you can log in to the app with the same user ID and password you use to access the AVMA website.

Do I need to log in to view JAVMA issues?
Yes, you must log in to view JAVMA issues. To log in, use the same user ID and password you use to access the AVMA website.

What if I can’t remember my AVMA user ID or password?
No problem. Click here, enter your email address, and we will send you your user ID along with a link to reset your password.

Do I have to be a JAVMA subscriber?
Yes, you must be an individual subscriber to JAVMA to log in and view issues. If you currently are an AVMA member and want to change your journal preferences, click here. If you are a SAVMA member, click here to subscribe to JAVMA at a discounted rate. If you are not an AVMA or SAVMA member and would like information on subscribing to JAVMA, click here.

My institution subscribes to JAVMA in print. Can I use the app to read JAVMA issues?
At present, only individual subscribers are able to use the app to read JAVMA issues. However, if your institution is a subscriber you can still read JAVMA (and AJVR) content online. Check with your institution’s librarian for information on accessing journal content online.

I receive the print version of JAVMA. Does the JAVMA Mobile App take the place of that?
No, you will continue to receive the print edition. You will also continue to have online access to the archive of all articles published since 2000.

Do I need Internet access to view JAVMA content?
You will need an Internet connection to download the app and any journal issues you would like to have available on your tablet or smartphone. Once content has been downloaded, it is available to be read offline.

Can I use the JAVMA Mobile App on more than one device?
You can run the app on any number of devices. However, you will need to download the app and each journal issue to each device. Once you do, features such as bookmarks, notes, and highlighted text will not sync between your devices.

Can I still access JAVMA online?
Yes, the archive of all JAVMA (and AJVR) content published since 2000 is still available online. This is also where you would go if you would like to download pdfs of articles. Note that you must first register with this website and activate your subscription on the website to access the full text of articles. Note that if you have previously registered with this website, your user ID and password may be different from the user ID and password you use to access the AVMA website.

Is there an AJVR Mobile App?
Not at this time. However, this is something we are considering for the future.
