 Abstracts invited for pig congress - November 1, 2001

Members of the swine industry are invited to the 17th International Pig Veterinary Society Congress, June 2–5, 2002 in Ames, Iowa.

The meeting is being held in the United States for the first time in more than 25 years. Attendees will also receive a complimentary ticket to the World Pork Expo, June 6–8 in Des Moines.

Focusing on the theme "Global Technology for Health Assurance," the scientific program will feature oral presentations in three categories: swine health, pork production and management, and pigs and society. Eighteen international swine experts have been invited to set the stage for the program by addressing their respective areas.

The program committee anticipates selecting 175 papers for oral presentation. Papers must be submitted electronically at www.ipvs2002.vetmed.iastate.edu by Dec. 31, 2001.
