Dr. Leo Lieberman, Port Saint Lucie, Fla, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Spay USA during their national conference in July at Bentley College in Waltham, Mass. It is the most recent of many awards he has received in past years for his work on the dog and cat overpopulation problem.

A former president of the Connecticut VMA and longtime advocate of early age spay and neuter, Dr. Lieberman has been lecturing on overpopulation for several decades. He chronicled the roots of his interest in the subject and his life's work in a Reflections column for the JAVMA (April 1, 1991).
