Research award nominations invited

Nominate a deserving AVMA member for exceptional achievements in research. The AVMA is looking for qualified veterinarians to be recognized for the Excellence in Research Award series, the Practitioner Research Award, and the American Feed Industry Association Award.

The AVMA Excellence in Research Award series is administered by the American Veterinary Medical Foundation and includes the AVMF Avian Research Award, Pfizer Animal Health Bovine Research Award, American Kennel Club Canine Research Awards, Bayer Animal Health Equine Research Award, The Winn Feline Foundation Feline Research Award, American Society of Lab Animal Practitioners Award, Pfizer Animal Health Poultry Research Award, and American Kennel Club Career Achievement. Three recipients are selected for the canine category, and one is selected for each of the other categories.

The Practitioner Research Award is given for clinical research in veterinary science by a veterinary practitioner. The American Feed Industry Association Award recognizes outstanding research done by a veterinarian on nutritional problems or diseases affecting livestock or poultry production.
