The popular mentoring sessions that premiered at the Annual Convention last year will be offered again when the AVMA meets this July in Nashville, Tenn.

Because of the success of the two pilot mentoring sessions at the 2001 convention, "Balancing Career and Family" and "Career Pathways for Veterinarians," the Member Services Committee recommended that the AVMA again host "life experience" mentoring sessions at the upcoming convention in Nashville.

Format for the sessions would be similar to last year's early-bird sessions. Attendance is limited to 50 veterinarians and veterinary students, with panel discussions led by four veterinarians who share their personal experiences on topics relevant to professional growth and development. A continental breakfast will also be provided.
