AVMF Our Oath in Action logoThe American Veterinary Medical Foundation held its annual Our Oath in Action program to provide members of the veterinary profession the opportunity to give back to their communities outside the walls of the veterinary hospital.

The 2015 program encompassed eight projects in as many states: Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Most of the events took place in October, with one in November and the final event coming up in spring 2016.

In Massachusetts, Tufts University and local practitioners provided free veterinary services for low-income pet owners. (Photos courtesy of the AVMF)
The University of California-Davis offered multispecies adoption, wellness examinations, vaccinations, and education on pet care.
