FDA changes name of laboratory network
Posted on March 20, 2013
A federal veterinary diagnostic laboratory network changed its name in February.
The network now known as the Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network was previously known as the Veterinary Laboratory Response Network. The network is part of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine, and it is intended to help the agency delegate work to laboratories during investigations.
The Food Animal Residue Avoidance Databank VetGRAM site, which provides drug withdrawal times and tolerances, now has a version designed for smart phones and tablets. That site is available at www.farad.org/mvetgram/default.asp.
