USDA updates inspection certificate service

Many veterinarians accredited by the Department of Agriculture will be able to create travel documentation for animals more quickly and easily because of recent updates, USDA officials said.
The updates are intended to help USDA-accredited veterinarians use the Veterinary Services Process Streamlining Interstate Module to create certificates of veterinary inspection, which are needed for interstate and international movement of animals. Participating veterinarians should be able to enter data more quickly, add animals more easily, and give more identifying information on each animal, according to information from the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. It also will let them provide some data by sending certain types of spreadsheet files.
USDA officials announced that the updated module would be available starting in late July. More information is available at www.aphis.usda.gov/nvap.
