Event: 14th annual symposium, April 16-19, Austin, Texas
Program: The symposium drew 123 diplomates, candidates, or applicants, and 155 general attendees. Exotic companion mammal practice is a new category for certification within the ABVP this year and was a welcome addition to the symposium information offered. The symposium meetings offered cross-species information such as animal welfare and electronic medical records, as well as species-specific continuing education. Evening seminars were offered to aid in the application, certification, and examination process for ABVP applicants.
