Board moves to enhance relationship with trusts

The Executive Board approved an expanded role for the board's Insurance Liaison Committee with the Group Health and Life Insurance Trust and AVMA PLIT. The liaison committee proposed revising the committee's description to allow the chair or the chair's designee to travel at AVMA expense to attend up to two GHLIT and two PLIT meetings per year, at the invitation of the respective trust. The committee chair is a member of the Executive Board. The committee explained in the recommendation background that the understanding and relationship between the Executive Board and the trusts will be enhanced with this change. Travel costs to trust meetings are estimated at $4,400. | ||
