Dr. Irtaza Siddique

Dr. Irtaza Siddique (BIH '50) received recognition from the mayor of Tuskegee, Alabama governor's office, Alabama House of Representatives, and Tuskegee chapter of the Alabama VMA upon his retirement after 44 years at Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Siddique was a professor of microbiology and public health. Previously, he had practiced in India.



The Wild Sheep Foundation recently recognized Dr. David Jessup (WSU '76) with the 2008 Outstanding Achievement Award for his contributions to wild sheep throughout North America and his role in protecting wild sheep from diseases. Dr. Jessup is a senior wildlife veterinarian for the California Department of Fish and Game and is the chair of the AVMA Committee on Environmental Issues.
