Dr. Shelton is now part of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee as a member of North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr's office. Dr. Carlin has joined the staff of the House Homeland Security Committee as a member of New York Rep. Peter King's office.

AVMA fellows provide science-based knowledge and information to the public policy-making process.
