Dental campaign wins PR award

The quality of the "Pets Need Dental Care, Too" public relations campaign has been recognized in an international awards competition.
The Kansas City agency of London-based Geoff Howe Marketing Communications won a 2007 Gold Award for its work on the pet dental health campaign in the Hermes Creative Awards competition. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals judges the competition, singling out work that is a benchmark for the communications industry.
The campaign is a component of National Pet Dental Health Month, observed each February. Veterinary hospitals around the country use the campaign kit to help educate clients and members of pet health care teams on the basics of pet dental health.
In 2007, the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians joined Hill's Pet Nutrition, the AVMA, the American Veterinary Dental Society, the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, and the American Veterinary Dental College as they co-sponsored the campaign for the 13th year.
