Redrafted AVMA Bylaws on final approach to HOD

While in Washington, D.C., the Executive Board met with the House Advisory Committee to discuss the finalization of the draft AVMA Bylaws revision, in preparation for sending the document to the House of Delegates for approval in July. In 2004, an amendment to strike the constitution in its entirety was introduced, in preparation for rescinding that document and eventually the bylaws to allow adoption of the amended and restated bylaws. Since January 2004, each bylaws draft incorporated suggestions submitted by members of the HOD, board, HAC, Judicial Council, and other AVMA entities. The proposed bylaws will be published in June 1 JAVMA News, in advance of the 2006 HOD session. | ||
