Morris Animal Foundation issues health study guidelines
Posted March 15, 2005
Since its founding in 1948, Morris Animal Foundation has been dedicated to improving the health and well-being of companion animals and wildlife by funding humane health studies and disseminating information about those studies. The foundation funds studies that address diseases affecting animals, rather than those that use animals as models of human disease.
Last fall, Morris Animal Foundation finalized a series of 15 written guidelines to ensure that every animal involved in a health study it funds receives excellent, compassionate care.
Those guidelines are now posted online at www.MorrisAnimalFoundation.org/PDF/HealthStudyGuidelines.pdf.
