ACLAM posts public statements online
Veterinarians and others who oversee the care and use of laboratory animals can look to the public statements developed by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine as a resource. The specialty college has compiled them in a standard format to share them with the veterinary community. At www.aclam.org/aclam_public.html, ACLAM has posted the following public statements: "Academics and Research Committee Report," "Adequate Veterinary Care," "Animal Use In Research, Testing and Teaching," "ACLAM Position Statement on Pain and Distress in Laboratory Animals," "Statement on the 3 R's," "Training & Education In the Care & Use of Laboratory Animals," "The Value of AAALAC Accreditation," "ACLAM Position on Rodent Surgery," "Statement on Veterinary Medical Records," and "Statement on Animal Experimentation." | ||
