The national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is encouraging veterinarians and other health care workers to subscribe to the CDC's Clinician Registry for Terrorism and Emergency Response Updates and Training Opportunities. Through this registry, individuals can receive real-time information that will help them prepare for emerging diseases, natural disasters, and potential bioterrorism events.
The CDC informs clinicians, via weekly e-mail updates, of recent changes to information on smallpox, severe acute respiratory syndrome, and other related health issues. The agency also uses the registry to announce new training opportunities for clinicians related to terrorism and emergency response topics.
Individuals can subscribe to the free service by visiting www.bt.cdc.gov/clinregistry/index.asp.
