To keep pace with its renewed focus on disaster preparedness and response, the American Veterinary Medical Foundation has revamped its online presence. The AVMF recently unveiled a complete overhaul to its Web site, www.avmf.org, including a fresh visual design, new functions, and additional content.

"We are extremely proud to announce improvements to our Web site. The site better reflects the overall mission of the organization, and we are confident that the improved functionality and look will attract more support, strengthening the Foundation as we lead the way in disaster preparedness and response," said Paul Amundsen, executive director of the AVMF.

New elements of the site include the following:

  • More in-depth and complete information about the AVMF's disaster preparedness and response initiatives, on the national, state, and local levels
  • Guidelines to help individuals and institutions obtain AVMF grants to support animal disaster preparedness and response efforts
  • Information on opportunities to volunteer and become involved with the AVMF
  • Online options for donating to the AVMF
