Puerto Rico alternate delegate, Dr. Jose Arcé, one of those advocating the roster.
Delegates made it clear they want to get to know each other better. On July 13, they approved Resolution 1, which called for production of a printed roster of members of the House of Delegates and its distribution to all the delegates and alternates.
In sponsoring the resolution, the Alabama VMA wrote that such a roster would help familiarize veteran and new members with each other. Even though the information is on the AVMA Web site, many House members do not go online, the sponsor added. The Executive Board, House Advisory Committee, and reference committee had all recommended against this resolution.
This was the only resolution with a financial impact on the AVMA's budget—$1,100 per year for production and distribution.
