Charitable help for veterinary clients facing hardship

AVMA members can provide charitable veterinary services for clients facing personal hardship, as well as animals rescued from abuse and neglect. The Veterinary Care Charitable Fund®, a program of the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, lets you help clients who might otherwise be forced to surrender or euthanize a beloved pet. It's one of the many benefits of membership in the AVMA.

Our members are our passion. Your voice guides AVMA's work to protect, promote and advocate for veterinarians, and provide tools to enhance your opportunity for success.

Educational materials for safe practice

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) works relentlessly to help you provide great care through informational brochures that are specific and accurate to your patients’ health care needs. It is one of the many ways we work with veterinarians to keep your clients informed.

Ensuring access to critical drugs

The AVMA works behind the scenes with legislators, regulators and others to ensure our members can access life-saving drugs for their patients, including compounded preparations, and offers resources to help veterinarians legally prepare, prescribe, and administer compounded medications. It's one of the many ways AVMA works to support veterinarians in their day-to-day activities.
