Four slots are still open for the AVMA's orientation program for executive directors of state and allied associations represented in the AVMA House of Delegates. This will be the 9th time the 1-1/2 day event has been offered as a way to provide association directors a greater understanding and appreciation of the structure and operation of the AVMA. The program is fully funded by the AVMA and is held at the AVMA headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. Executive directors who have not attended an orientation program previously are eligible to participate in the 2011 program.
The program will be held on Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27, 2011. During the program, you will tour AVMA headquarters, hear brief presentations from each AVMA division, and visit informally with staff and your colleagues during meals and at a staff reception on Tuesday.

So, if you have not attended a previous program, make plans to join us and the executive directors of the Massachusetts VMA, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Oklahoma VMA, American Animal Hospital Association, District of Columbia VMA, and American Association of Food Hygiene Veterinarians this fall.
