Dr. Roger Saltman is the Group Director of US Cattle and Equine Technical Services for Zoetis with responsibilities for overseeing the beef, dairy and equine technical services groups and is a member of the Cattle & Equine Leadership Team. He has worked for Zoetis and its legacy companies for 18 years after having practiced as a mixed animal clinical veterinarian for 7 years.
Growing up in California, Dr. Saltman earned his undergraduate degree at Princeton University. He earned his DVM at Cornell University and his MBA at Syracuse University. He is a member of Phi Zeta Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society of Collegiate Schools of Business. He was presented the American Association of Bovine Practitioners Distinguished Service Award in 2001 and the New York Commissioner of Agriculture’s Agri-Service Award in 2003. Dr. Saltman is a Past President of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, Past President of the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association, and is currently Chair of the AVMA Veterinary Economics Strategy Committee.
