Application Cycle Opens for National Institutes of Health Loan Repayment Program

Researchers can receive up to $35,000 annually to help repay their student loans through the National Institute of Health (NIH) Loan Repayment Program.  Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or permanent resident of the U.S. and must have a health professional doctoral degree from an accredited institution. The program benefits individuals who are or will be conducting nonprofit biomedical or behavioral research.  Opportunities are available for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds in five research areas—clinical, pediatric, health disparities, contraception and infertility, and clinical research. The application cycle opened on Sept. 1 and will close on Nov. 15.  Learn more at
