"The best part of the Fellowship has to be the people that you get to meet and work with. The AVMA does a fantastic job introducing you to the veterinarians working in public practice around DC. The other AAAS fellows from different scientific backgrounds form a great network and social group. In your placement office, you get to work with people whom truly understand policy and politics. To get the most from this experience, you need to take advantage of all of the networking both on and off the Hill. This town and this Fellowship really have a lot to offer."
