The ALL for Students program has been a successful joint initiative pilot program between AVMA, AVMA LIFE, AVMA PLIT and SAVMA. ALL for Students stands for Achieving, Leading and Learning and the program was developed by the AVMA family to address funding deficits in the Student Chapters of the AVMA following the economic downturn and decreased industry support. Chapters utilize this funding to provide programming for their student membership in four key areas: Leadership, Wellness, Professional Development and Community Outreach.
In 2013, each Student Chapter was awarded $7,000 and in 2014, thanks to the addition of AVMA LIFE as program sponsors, that award was increased to $8,500 per Student Chapter of the AVMA with opportunities for additional funding throughout the year. Currently AVMA, AVMA LIFE and AVMA PLIT each contribute $100,000 and SAVMA contributes $33,000 for a total of $333,000 in 2014 and 2015.
The ALL for Students program has consistently resulted in widespread appreciation from student chapters. Student Chapters of the AVMA determine their own programming and budget allocation within the four key focus areas and submit reporting to the AVMA Student Initiatives Team.
