Elections: Biographical Summary - Walter C. Robinson, DVM. MS. DABVP

​Candidate for District III Director, AVMA Executive Board 

Dr. Walter Robinson owns and operates the East North Veterinary Clinic in Greenville, South Carolina. Upon graduating from Wofford College (Physics), his interest turned to the veterinary field.  He graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia.  He then completed his surgery residency at Purdue University where he also received a master's degree in veterinary science (surgery).
 
Dr. Robinson then returned to South Carolina and opened his veterinary practice.  While concurrently practicing and studying, he passed the exam to become a diplomate in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, specializing in companion animals.  Since that time, Dr. Robinson has been devoted to his profession.  Besides serving in all aspects of local and state veterinary associations, he was also involved with several county and state boards and commissions.  He served as a member of the Center of Veterinary Medicine’s Advisory Committee under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Dr. Robinson was awarded "Veterinarian of the Year" by the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians and Governor Beasley awarded Dr. Robinson the "Order of the Palmetto."  He is presently serving a second term on the South Carolina Board of Veterinary Examiners.  Dr. Robinson is also serving as a member of the Resolutions and Bylaws Committee for the American Association of Veterinary State Boards.
