Veterinarians are key to rapidly tracing, controlling, and eradicating animal disease. The USDA-APHIS National Animal Identification System (NAIS) and it three components, premises registration, animal identification, and animal tracing can help. This toolkit provides veterinarians with information to educate livestock producers as to how they can benefit from NAIS.
