Dr. Janver D. Krehbiel is a professor in the Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation Department at the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has served as senior associate dean for administration, associate dean for academic affairs, and is currently the director of international programs at the school.

Dr. Krehbiel will represent veterinarians in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. For many years, Dr. Krehbiel has served his profession through posts on organizations and associations. He was president of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association in 1999, president of the American Society for Veterinary Clinical Pathology in 1982-1983, and chairperson of the National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners in 2003-2004. At the AVMA, he has served on the Council on Education and he served on and chaired the Committee on Veterinary Medical Informatics.

Dr. Krehbiel is a 1962 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his DVM. He also received a master's degree in 1969 and a Ph.D. in 1972 from Michigan State University. Dr. Krehbiel is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists.

Dr. Krehbiel is a native of Kansas, but currently lives in Mason, Mich., where he and his wife have three children: Douglas, Carrie and Keith.
