Merrick Pet Care recalls Doggie Wishbone due to potential Salmonella contamination

Merrick Pet Care has issued a voluntary recall for a single lot of Doggie Wishbone pet treats due to potential Salmonella contamination. The lot contains 248 cases of treats shipped to 10 states. According to the manufacturer, no illnesses have been reported and no other Merrick Pet Care products are involved.
Product recalled:
Doggie Wishbone pet treat; item #29050; UPC code 2280829050; Lot #11031 with "Best By" date of 30 Jan 2012.
Consumers are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund and should contact Merrick Pet Care if they have any questions (1-800-664-7387, M-F 8am-5pm CST).
