Supervalu Inc Recalls Multi-Flavored Dog Biscuits

Supervalu Inc. has voluntarily recalled both its Shopper's Valu and Happy Tails multi-flavored dog biscuits that may contain peanut products that could be contaminated with Salmonella.
Supervalu Inc. owns a retail network of more than 2,500 stores. They also are a supplier for over 5,000 retail endpoints.
In a statement, the company described it as a "precautionary move" and said that the product has not been "directly linked to the Salmonella outbreak" that resulted in a nationwide recall of some peanut products made by Peanut Corp. of America in its Blakely, GA, facility.
The recalled products include:
- Happy Tails Multi-Flavored Dog Biscuits 4 lb. , UPC 41163-42403
- Happy Tails Multi-Flavored Dog Biscuits 26 oz. , UPC 41163-42406
- Shopper's Valu Multi-Flavored Dog Biscuits 4 lb. , UPC 41130-30507
