Nutro® Products Has Voluntarily Recalled Some of its Pet Food Products

The manufacturer has confirmed that due to a production error it is removing some of its puppy food products from a limited number of PetSmart and Petco stores. This was after discovering that pieces of melted plastic were found in select varieties of NUTRO® dry dog and cat food products.
The source of the melted plastic was determined to be a worker's "bump cap," which somehow made its way into the Nutro® Products manufacturing line.
The specific products are listed below.
According to the manufacturer, these products were shipped to a limited number of PetSmart and Petco stores in California, Arizona, Colorado, Texas and New Mexico only.
