Webinar for agricultural educators

The AVMA recently presented a Web seminar, or webinar, to members of the National Association of Agricultural Educators—in response to requests by NAAE members for information about the role of veterinarians in food safety and food supply.

Drs. Heather Case and Christine Hoang, assistant directors in the AVMA Scientific Activities Division, presented the program "From Farm to Fork—Veterinarians Safeguarding Our Nation's Food Supply." More than 30 high school teachers participated in the webinar to find material for classroom lectures and assignments.

Positive feedback resulted in an invitation for the AVMA to repeat the program as a workshop during the NAAE convention in December.
